My wonderful niece Sylvie spent the month of July in Montpellier, France studying French in the exact, same program I did some 30(!) or so years ago. Unfortunately, the last week of her stay was spent in hospital. Poor Sylvie picked up a nasty eye infection but luckily she is now back home recovering and eating her mom's food. Happy to have you back on this side of the world Sylvie!

Everyone must be glad to have her home safe and sound!
We ceratinly are! And we are especially proud of how well she handled the situation -speak about French immersion: she negotiated nurses, doctors, and hospitals in French all by herself. And, the minute she was released, she rushed off to a Wine Festival with her friends - she didn't want to miss a second of her French experience. Even better, she's doing just fine and is ready to go back to France as soon as she can!
