Mug of the Week #5

This mug is from my recent trip to Memphis, Tennessee where I visited the amazing National Civil Rights Museum which is housed in the former Lorraine Motel. The number -- 306 -- is the hotel room in which Martin Luther King Jr. was staying when he was assassinated.

Mug of the Week #4

As a graphic designer, I'm all too familiar with Pantone Matching System also known as "PMS" colours. (And no, not that kind of "PMS" although sometimes choosing a colour does make one a bit wacky.) My sis bought me this mug at the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa and I love it! Thanks Marci.

Mug of the Week #3

My cousin Ellen who lives in New Hampshire gave me this mug. Kind of sums up my mood some mornings!

Mug of the Week #2

I love my raven mug designed by Ithaca, New York artist Alice Muhlback. I bought it a few years ago when visiting my sister Marci who took me to Alice's really funky shop called "Spirit and Kitsch."

My morning cuppa joe makes me want to fly away with this raven!

Mug of the Week

If you're like me, you have a bunch of mugs in your collection. Most mornings I pick the one I use by what mood I'm in on that particular day. So I have decided to profile my mug collection on Fridays and highlight a different one in a post called "Mug of the Week."

This week I've chosen a mug my cousin Richard got me on a trip several years back. He told me it came from a restaurant in Bar Harbor, Maine called "Two Cats" and he and his family just loved the place. His son Matthew, however, was marginally disappointed when it turned out that "Two Cats" had two dogs and just one cat. Click here to go to their website.
