This year's trip up to Huntsville, Ontario for Thanksgiving saw fabulously warm weather.
Ya never know. Sometimes it rains. Once it even snowed.
It rained in the morning and then was sunny all day with a high of about 20C
Our return home lets us drive through magnificent Algonquin Park, in all its fall splendour.
These photos were all taken through a car window as we drove through the park. Dont' worry, I wasn't driving! What beautiful vistas. Love the park. Happy fall!

Early morning Algonquin Park
The mist rising off the water was so lovely the other day when we drove through Algonquin Park.
Almost looks like a black and white photo.
I especially loved how clear the water was, the blue sky reflection and the mist off the water.
Richard in silhouette on our favourite rock that juts out into the lake. We try and visit that rock as often as we can.
And we try to take selfies from that spot too. Fun!

Algonquin Park Trails
Over our holidays a few weeks back...
...we headed over to Algonquin Park...
...where we spent the day.
We walked three different trails...
...some with cliffs...
...some with lakes...
...all with magnificent trees.
We loved all three trails and next year intend to try one of the longer circuits.

Drive through Algonquin Park
Every Thanksgiving we drive through Algonquin Park to get to Richard's family who have a cottage near Huntsville.
The colours this year were truly outstanding! Lots of reds. I heard it was because of the very hot, dry summer.
On the way west, I noticed this scenic beaver dam for the corner of my eye, so we stopped for photos on the way back.
Interesting to see the dam up close and how it really does hold back the water. And the pyramid-shaped beaver house in the background. Beavers are so "dam" clever!
