Sunday was sunny and cold, about -15C but a wonderfully lovely day.
I decided it was a perfect day for our 3rd annual winter picnic. Hot milky tea from the Thermos...
...and warm sandwiches...
...eaten in the fresh air.
Brie, apple and chutney on a warm baguette. Say ahhhh.
Picnics in the snow are my thing. To see last year's poutine picnic, click here. Need more picnics? How about brunch in the woods. Click here.

Looks glorious!
That's some delicious sandwich you got there!
You guys are something else!
Are you people out of your gourds?
I think you guys deserve the "hardy Canadians" award. Mind you, some of us (including me) would rather be inside, wrapped in a blanket by a reliable heat source than receive the hardy Canadian award!
Glad you got out before the sicky sicky set in!! Those sandwiches look fabulous!
And wood was also hauled in that day!
One part of me thinks that when the Lads up the Line read "Brie, apple and chutney on a warm baguette" Newshawk is going to be on the outs. The other part thinks, "Addison, would you get me another glass of warm Armagnac, please..."
