With all the heat this year, my garden is going gangbusters! These scarlet runners are running right over the little garden shed.
The chard has kicked in finally..
...and this baby acorn squash is going to taste yummy this fall.
I have an abundance of jalapenos and I think I might just pickle them.
Sweet, yellow peppers have been great in salads...
...like this Greek salad that has my own peps, tomatoes and cukes. Now all I need is an olive tree and a goat to make my own Feta!
In the meantime, this is so pretty, I might have to paint it.

You should see our sqaush, we have acorn and some kind of spaghetti sqaush, the acorn has a lot of fruits larger then fist size, the spaghetti has visions of world domination I think, its going everywhere :) I didn't believe it would fill out the spot mom put it in, boy was I wrong!
All of these pics are pretty enough to paint, but you are right - the basket with the veg and tomatoes is exceptionally beautiful. I'd love to see your painting of it.
Your garden is great! I am jealous of your pepper plants. (Note to self; buy copious amounts of sheep manure!)
You are another one with a green thumb. I'll be posting my friend's garden that blew me away this weekend. Yes, do paint that. It's gorgeous.
I'm arriving at the right time...
Seeing everyone's gardening posts has me wishing the cold weather away and looking forward to Summer so I can get out into the vegie garden.
That Greek salad's looking pretty darn yummy Ronna.
Hope you had a great weekend,
Claire :}
