The weekend brought cold weather so Richard and I decided to fix the fences around the garden. It was on our "must do" list as the tops of the asparagus have been nipped by Mr. Groundhog who is living under the barn. The gardens are his next-to-his-bedroom buffet tables!
After repurposing old bits of chicken wire and gates -- this one used to be the front door of our smaller cat run -- it was time to head into Alexandria to buy more supplies.
A large roll of poultry wire is what we needed.
On the way home, we stopped at the cenotaph that was in full tulip bloom.
Since we didn't make it to Ottawa for TulipFest, this was a good, albeit cold, diversion. Where's spring?

Richard looks good as a "Desperado"!
