My friend's daughter asked if I could make her wedding cake. She said that since she was little she wanted me to make her her cake. I was touched! And nervous.
She and her mom came over with a bottle of wine and a few ideas and we talked and talked. Her final words were "sophisticated and outdoorsy."
In the end both the bride and groom were thrilled with the cake. Phew!

I love it. The colours and leaves are beautiful. I think one of the most memorable weddings I attended was a Fall wedding with all the Fall colours. It was gorgeous.
