100 Things To Eat Before You Die #1

My sister Marci and I are constantly on the phone talking about food. She suggested I write about "100 Things to Eat Before You Die" and I thought it was a great idea. So here's the first entry.
Coffee. A good cup of regular, American-style coffee. Whether you take it black, with cream, with sugar, or both -- Canadians call that a "double-double" -- there's nothing like drinking a well roasted cup of very good coffee.

  2. I like coffee. We have the best out here--Stumptown Roasters. Now available in NYC. But there are a dozen otehr great coffee roasters in Stumptown.

I probably would have put a glass of whiskey above that--can you repeat things on the list? Like coffee, poutine, Boston creme pie, whiskey, NYC pizza, grilled trout in Italy, poutine, halibut in Juneau, any breakfast at Cup and Saucer, whiskey, poutine, Terminal Gravity IPA...

  4. THis is a great idea! I'll pass on the coffee, but I love the smell.

    Mangosteen. Put that on there!

  5. But perhaps not durian. Actually, you should try durian. I never have, despite travelling in many durian-rich countries! :)

  6. Amen to that!
You got me salivating: I'm thinking garlic butter escargots... lobster in the rough... a great glass of single malt scotch... so much to eat...so little time...
