The Company of Crows

A book signing for the novel The Company of Crows by Karen Molson will be held on Saturday, April 23 at Books on Beechwood in Ottawa from noon to 2 p.m. This cake I made will be served at the event. If you can make it, please do so. Good read, good eats. How can you beat that?

My friend Karen Molson hosted a book launch last weekend for her new novel The Company of Crows.

I was happy to get an autographed copy!

The party included amazing hors d'oeuvres...

...And cookies too! Karen asked me to make 100 crow cookies for the occasion.

 Under the watchful eye of these two crows, each cookie had been individually bagged and given to visitors as they left the event. Great day.

Heart's desire wedding cake

 I made a cake for my co-worker Scott who married his heart's desire Ailen, yesterday.

 They had a sweet set-up at the restaurant where the reception was held.

 Chocolate cake and blue and silver hearts. What else could you want?

It was a perfect day for a wedding! Warm and sunny, just like the couple.
